BREAKING: JSU confirms online classes for rest of spring semester, postpones graduation

Jacksonville State University announced in an email to students on Friday evening that classes will remain online for the remainder of the spring semester in an effort to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Online classes will resume on Monday, March 30.

Survey: 53 percent of college students plan to travel for spring break despite pandemic

Throughout the United States, many colleges and universities are either conducting classes online or closing their doors temporarily or permanently for the rest of the academic year. All of these changes or closures have been made to combat the spread of COVID-19, otherwise known as the novel coronavirus.

JSU residence halls to remain open during spring break to promote ‘social distancing’

The Jacksonville State University Office of Housing and Residence Life announced on Tuesday morning that all residence halls will remain open for spring break. The university announced the day prior that spring break will be extended by two days, beginning Thursday, March 19.
