Meet the top 10 candidates for Homecoming Court

Voting for Homecoming King and Queen makes it feel like we’re somewhat back to normalcy in a way. Why not get to know who the top ten are? 

Below you can find a little bit out about each candidate running, and hopefully you’ll be able to figure out who to vote for on Oct. 7.

Tegan Singleton

Tegan is a senior majoring in integrated studies with a focus in fashion merchandising. Tegan would love to thank everyone for all the uplifting words spoken to her regarding her decision to run for homecoming queen. She is very honored to have this opportunity. 

Katelyn Lindley

Katelyn is a sophomore who is also a Marching Ballerinas in the Marching Southerners. She is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and Lambda Sigma Honor Society. Katelyn would love to express how thankful she is to the students for all the confidence and support.

Sarah Sumners

Sarah is a junior majoring in communications. She also is an active member of Delta Zeta, the Marching Southerners, and Gamecock Orientation (not to mention she holds leadership positions within all three of these organizations). Sarah is thankful for the amount of love and support she has received throughout this experience.

Lauren Watson

Lauren is a junior majoring in nursing. She believes being part of JSU and all that it embodies is something she’s grateful for, and she is very thankful for all of the experiences she has had here since attending. Lauren is honored to be part of the top 10 homecoming court and hopes to earn your vote again.

Jameson Willis

Jameson is a senior majoring in public relations. He has been part of Freshman Forum, JSU Student Ambassadors, and an active member of Encore! Show Choir since his freshman year. Jameson is very thankful for all of the opportunities and memories he’s made here since attending. 

Will Dickson

Will is a junior majoring in pre-health biology. He hopes to head on to medical school after graduating. He has been blessed with countless opportunities such as Kappa Alpha Order and Mr. Jax State. Will hopes to continue representing the school in the best way possible by being homecoming king. 

Craig Scott Jr.

Craig is a senior majoring in nursing. He is involved in JSU Ambassadors, JSU Nursing Ambassadors, and he is Vice President of Jacksonville Association of Nursing Students among other things. Craig is very grateful for all of the gamecock love he has received, but wants to remind everyone to vote again on Oct. 7. 

Alexis Nelms

Alexis is a junior majoring in exercise science. She said that she is blessed to have been voted into the top 10 for Homecoming, and that JSU has given her countless opportunities in what she describes as the “best three years of [her] life.” She thanks everyone who voted for and supported her.
