To the Editor:
Tuesday, October 6 is an important date for the citizens of Jacksonville. They will have the opportunity to select a member for the city council. Just as importantly, JSU students have the same opportunity to vote for a candidate that has a vision for the university.
I would like to suggest that JSU students consider Adam Allen for the city council.
Perhaps in the past there have been times when there has been a disconnect between the city and the university on some matters. I have already been meeting with JSU students to discuss a more inclusive plan that gives them a greater voice in city matters.
My experience in business development will enhance that kind of relationship. Every day, I work with cities across the Southeast to create new jobs and development for their people. I will use this expertise to breathe life into my vision for a vibrant Jacksonville!
My wife Layne and I have two children Bryce and Avery. I have served as a team coach for many years, and likewise my family takes a strong interest in the affairs of our community.
I would appreciate your vote and support this Tuesday.
