After a year of waiting, the highly-anticipated Calhoun Steakhouse had its big opening on October 9 with great success. Steakhouse serves a variety of food including chicken, pasta, seafood,  and of course, steak.

“Everything went pretty smooth for the first day,” said Lee Law, co-owner of Calhoun Steakhouse. “We got pretty good reception without any advertising.”

Open only a week, Calhoun Steakhouse has received several positive reviews on Facebook, with a 4.8 out of 5 rating average.

The food is amazing,” read one review. “The beef tips & rice are so tender, they melt in your mouth. The Cajun chicken pasta was delicious. Spicy feta cheese dip appetizer was also yummy. Loved the banana pudding served in the cute mini jars. Great food and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.”

“I love the atmosphere here and the food is very good,” read another. “Large portions and I 100% recommend getting the sweet potato fries.”

The store is located at 813 Pelham Road South and is located in the old Pizza Hut building, which is right across from the existing Pizza Hut location. The owners are Lee Law and Sokratis Kappis.

Calhoun Steakhouse is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They are closed on Sunday.
